Overview
The Mommy Makeover combines several procedures into a personalized plan to restore your figure after pregnancy and breastfeeding, often addressing the abdomen, body contour, and breasts. Dr. Hermes designs the combination to fit you, prioritizing your safety and recovery. The goal is to bring back proportion and firmness with a natural result.
Dr. Hermes's approach
Dr. Hermes combines, according to your case, a tummy tuck, liposculpture, and breast surgery (lift, augmentation, or reduction) into a single surgical plan when it is safe to do so. His humanistic approach guides the selection of procedures to balance results and recovery time. Safety determines how much is done in one operation and what is better to stage.
Risks and honesty
Combining procedures means the risks of each one add up: seroma, wound-healing issues, infection, asymmetry, sensation changes, and a longer surgical time. That is why health assessment and safe planning are essential. Dr. Hermes minimizes risks with careful technique and close follow-up, though no procedure is risk-free and results vary.
Are you a good candidate?
Ideal candidates have completed their pregnancies, maintain a stable weight, and want to correct changes such as abdominal laxity, muscle separation, or breast changes. Good health, no plans for pregnancy in the near term, and realistic expectations are important. Each plan is tailored to your priorities.

Ready to take the first step?Recovery, step by step
- 01
First 7-10 days
Moderate discomfort controlled with medication, with limited posture and movement depending on the procedures performed. Use of a compression garment and supportive bra, often with temporary drains. You will need help at home and rest with very short walks. Avoid all strain.
- 02
Week 2-3
Swelling begins to subside and mobility gradually improves. Many patients resume light tasks. The garment and bra are maintained, and heavy lifting avoided, which matters if you have small children. Drains, if used, are usually removed.
- 03
Week 4-6
Noticeable improvement in swelling and overall contour. Gradual return to light physical activity as directed. Support garments continue. The scars are maturing.
- 04
Month 3-12
The combined result becomes apparent as residual swelling resolves. Return to full exercise once cleared. Scars lighten and fade gradually over 12-18 months. Keeping a stable weight helps preserve the result.
Frequently asked
It is not a fixed package: it is tailored to you and usually combines a tummy tuck, liposculpture, and breast surgery, depending on your priorities. Dr. Hermes will define with you what to include and what can be safely done in a single operation. Each plan is individual.
It is generally recommended to have a Mommy Makeover when you no longer plan pregnancy in the near term, since a new pregnancy can affect the result. Even so, a later pregnancy is possible. It is best to discuss timing with Dr. Hermes.
In many cases yes, when your health allows it and the surgical time is reasonable. If not, Dr. Hermes may stage the procedures to prioritize your safety. That decision is made individually after a full assessment.
