Overview
Labiaplasty is a procedure that adjusts the size and shape of the labia minora to improve comfort and the harmony of the intimate area. Many patients consider it because of discomfort during exercise, when wearing certain clothing, or for personal aesthetic reasons. Dr. Hermes performs it with delicate technique and complete discretion, prioritizing your comfort and a natural-looking result.
Dr. Hermes's approach
Dr. Hermes selects the technique based on your anatomy, generally with careful removal of excess tissue and meticulous layered closure to support discreet healing. He works with fine sutures and respect for the area's natural sensitivity. His humanistic approach means each step is planned around your safety and comfort, with privacy at every moment.
Risks and honesty
Like all surgery, labiaplasty carries possible risks: swelling, bruising, temporary discomfort, infection, minor asymmetry, or temporary sensation changes. In uncommon cases a touch-up may be needed. Dr. Hermes reduces these risks with meticulous technique and close follow-up, but it's important to understand that no procedure is completely risk-free and that results vary from person to person.
Are you a good candidate?
Candidates are typically women who experience physical discomfort, irritation, or self-consciousness with certain activities or clothing, or who want greater harmony in the area. Good overall health, not being pregnant, and realistic expectations are important. Dr. Hermes speaks with you privately to understand your motivations and confirm whether the procedure is right for you.

Frequently asked
You won't feel pain during surgery thanks to the anesthesia. Afterward, mild to moderate discomfort in the first days is normal and is well managed with the medication we prescribe. Most patients describe recovery as more manageable than they expected.
Incisions are placed within the natural folds of the area and closed with fine sutures, so scars are usually very discreet. They continue to soften over time. Everyone heals differently, so results vary.
Dr. Hermes's goal is to improve your comfort while preserving the area's natural sensitivity. There may be temporary changes in sensation during recovery that typically resolve. Intimate relations resume around 6 weeks, once the area has healed and we give clearance.
